Our Guest speaker for February is Malcolm Edwards, Deputy Director of Business Development. Mr. Edwards serves as part of the Business Development team, where he handles SeaPort Manatee’s sales in the Tampa Bay region and the Southeastern U.S. He manages SeaPort Manatee’s Foreign-Trade Zone No. 169 program, which is used to encourage activity and value-added operations at U.S. facilities in competition with foreign alternatives. Malcolm is a graduate of the University of Florida’s School of Banking and has combined sales experience in the banking and maritime industry of 39 years. Since joining the port in 2010, Malcolm Edwards has earned designation as a Certified Port Executive from the MacDonnel Group and has served on the Tampa Bay Harbor Safety and Security Committee and the Tampa Bay Vessel
Movement Committee. He is an active member of the Port Manatee Propeller Club and Past President of the Palmetto Rotary Club.
